How it works
Work Wala - Find Work & Workers brings Buyers and Freelancers together – and keeps the money safe until the work is done.
For Buyers
- Post your project. Describe the work, your budget and how long you accept bids. Posting is free. You can choose who may bid: everyone, only freelancers from certain countries, only verified freelancers, or only the freelancers you invite.
- Compare bids. Freelancers send you their price, delivery time and how they will do the job. Look at their profiles, ratings and badges, and ask questions on the project's message board.
- Choose and agree. Pick the bid you like. When the freelancer accepts, you both see each other's contact details and can start.
- Pay safely through escrow. Put the payment in escrow. The freelancer can see the money is there, and you release it only when you are satisfied with the work.
- Leave feedback. Rate each other after the project – it helps everyone choose well next time.
For Freelancers
- Complete your profile. Add your skills, categories, country and examples of your work. You are emailed about new projects that match.
- Bid. Send a clear offer: your price, the days you need and how you will do the work.
- Win and start. When the buyer chooses you, accept the project. Look for the Prefunded badge – the buyer's money is already in escrow.
- Get paid. Once the buyer releases the escrow payment, the money is in your balance and you can withdraw it.
- Build your reputation. Good feedback and the ✓ Verified badge win you more work.
How escrow protects both sides
With escrow, the buyer pays into a safe holding account at Work Wala - Find Work & Workers instead of paying the freelancer directly.
- For the buyer: the money is only released to the freelancer when you are satisfied with the work. If the work is not done, the freelancer can return it to you, or we help settle the case.
- For the freelancer: you know the money exists before you start, and the buyer cannot simply disappear with it.
Never pay or accept payment outside Work Wala - Find Work & Workers – then escrow cannot protect you.
Verified freelancers
Members with the ✓ Verified badge have had their identity and/or qualifications checked by Work Wala - Find Work & Workers. Hover over or tap the badge to see what was checked. Buyers can choose to accept bids only from verified freelancers, so they can hire with confidence.
Prefunded projects
A project marked Prefunded means the buyer has already paid the budget to Work Wala - Find Work & Workers. The money is held in escrow from the moment the project goes online.
- Only money deposited by bank wire or check can prefund a project – not card or PayPal payments, which can be reversed. So the badge really means the money is there.
- When a freelancer accepts the project, the prefunded money becomes their escrow payment. Anything above the winning bid goes back to the buyer.
- If the project ends without a winner, the money goes back to the buyer.
For buyers, prefunding shows freelancers that you are serious – good freelancers prefer projects where the money is waiting.
